Admittedly, our test was done in November and December, but in Southern California where we had some warm or mild days. We mostly rode the Rocket 3 R with riding jeans, so not thick pants that would shield our legs from the heat. When engine heat is a problem, we say as much. When it isn’t, we don’t. That being said, any large engine will radiate heat on a hot day in traffic – there is no way to avoid that.

The heat was unbearable, I mean scalding. What is the heat like now on the new model. No testers talk about engine heat anymore as for a lot of bikes especially large engined ones they are incredibly hot..

No, but the Rocket 3 GT has a taller windscreen, a more comfortable two-up seat, a passenger backrest, and forward controls. Check Triumph’s website to see what luggage options, if any, are available.

And NO ONE will ever look at either one of those and think that they’re more badass than a Rocket 3.

I can’t get over the headlights and it is out of character with the rest of the styling. I don’t want a mushed in one like the Diavel either. Both of these cruisers have ruined it for me with the front end styling.

We got 30 mpg – that throttle is hard to resist! Can’t comment on long-term ownership costs because we had it only a few weeks.

Did not see MPG in your review, how it was to ride in rain, & clean?
How much is it to Maintain in a year at 10,000, or 20,000 miles?
How about long term testing revenue, over a year of living with It’s benefits, and fables?

Electric yes, but mass produced and ready for your garage.
